Our very first Ensemble Concert will be held on May 31st at the South Huntington Library. Admission is free!

Long Island Flute Festival

Our annual student festival catered to grades 4-12 that provides flute choir coaching, masterclasses, and an introduction to the flute family. Many of our adult members attended FluteFest as students!

Student Recital (Grades 4-9)

An opportunity for our youngest flutists to perform with piano in a non-competitive, recital setting. Come see the progression of flute playing from levels 1-6!

Long Island High School Honors Flute Ensemble

An honors flute choir made up of our members' students, this ensemble is one of the premier high school flute choirs on Long Island. Applications, rehearsals, and performances occur each fall. Students have an opportunity to join on C flute, piccolo, alto, or bass flutes as a high school ensemble, as well as side-by-side with the LIFC Professional Flute Choir.

High School Solo Competition (Grades 10-12)

Catered to grades 9-12, our High School Competition is an opportunity to celebrate the high level of flute playing on Long Island. A recital of finalists culminates with a cash prize scholarship awarded to our winner.

Silvery Sounds of the Season: A Holiday Flute Ensemble Recital

A favorite event of our members and audience alike, the Holiday Flute Choir performs holiday favorites in Ronkonkoma and at the beautiful Old Westbury Gardens. This is an annual fundraiser for ALS research.

LIFC Professional Flute Ensemble 

Alongside the Long Island High School Honors Flute Ensemble, our own members perform staples in the Flute Choir repertoire. This ensemble has commissioned many living composers and has made appearances at the National Flute Association Convention.
